Megan's 3rd Birthday

Megan turned three on April 24th and to celebrate we decided to have a BBQ with all of our family and some close friends. We grilled burgers and hot dogs and everyone pitched in by bringing all sorts of salads and side dishes. It was so nice not to have to do all the cooking myself. She said she wanted to have a princess makeup cake for her birthday and so needless to say that left me pretty stumped as to what she had in mind. We finally decided on a cake with white frosting and pink flowers that we got at our local grocery store. Then after much searching I found some candles at a party supply store that were in the shape of a high heel, a purse, a crown, and a couple of other make up type things. She couldn't have been happier and to her it was the perfect birthday cake. She also picked out a giant pink high heel pinata. It turned out to be a great day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Happy Birthday Lolly. Daddy and Mommy love you very much and are so proud of the little girl you are growing up to be. It has been so fun to watch you grow and discover new things. Thanks for letting me be your mom.

Miss Megan...

If she lives to start preschool it will be a miricle. She has gotten so naughty lately. She can throw a temper tantrum like no other and she can talk back better than any kid I know. Andrew was never this bad, but I guess this is carma getting me back for being such a terd to my parents when I was little. I must say though that when she is not being naughty, she is so much fun the be around. The things that come out of her mouth sometimes make me laugh outloud. For example one day not too long ago I accidentally stepped on her foot and she said to me "MOMMY IT'S OK, ACCIDENTS HAPPEN" She can't say our cats name right so she calls him benjerben instead of benny. She is still as girly as ever and still thinks everything she owns needs to be pink. She really love nursery at church and can't get there fast enough most Sundays. I know some days I want to sell her, but I wouldn't trade her for anything and feel truly blessed to get to be her mom. Love You Lolly!!!

Megan's Firsts In 2009!!!

I took her to a little salon by our house and had her first haircut done. I just had them trim it. Her first toast & chocolate milk.

Got her ears pierced.

She also when potty in her big girl potty for the first time. but I didn't want to post a picture of that. As you can she she gone through a lot of firsts this last year & is turning from a baby to a little (sorry I mean Big) girl.

She loves to eat!!!

Unlike my sister Allison I have no problem getting my child to eat. These were before and after pictures of lunch one day!!! Isn't she so cute!! Anyway, my niece Abby really does not like to eat. It is not that she is picky, it is just she figures she has better things to do with her time. My sister has made several comments that she wishes Abby ate as good as Megan did. I guess I am just lucky because I have never really had to fight with my kids to get them to eat. (I have no idea where they get their love for food:) I just have to say to all moms out there with picky or non eaters "Bless you for being so patient with them"
