Life goes on....

I first want to start of by appologizing if some of my posts are long and depressing. I just want to put down as much information as possible because I use this as my journal and wanted my kids to have as many details as they could. So since March we have been just working and going about some sense of a normal routine. Jeremy is up at his moms more helping her out with whatever she needs. I am really okay with that because that is what kids are there to do. He is the oldest and as he stated to me shortly after Frank's funeral, "I'm now the head of this family and it is my job to make sure my mom is taken care of" I admire him for wanting to make sure everyone is ok, but I do hope he knows it is okay to not to be the strong one all the time. Who knows maybe this is his way of grieving. I do know he needs to do this in his own way and in his own time. The kids are doing great and do say often they miss grandpa, but I remind them he is in heaven with Jesus and the angles and that seems to make them feel better. School gets out soon and we have a fun summer planned so that will be good.

Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's 2009

For thanksgiving we decided to go to St. George. we went with my parents, my sister Allison and her family, and some of my moms cousin came from Las Vegas. We had so much fun. Jeremy and I spent on whole day taking the kids to Zion's National Park. I was fun to see the kids reaction the the wonders that nature creates. It was a nice relaxing weekend filled with food, family, bowling for Abbys birthday, after Thanksgiving day shopping, and just havin fun. For Christmas we played it pretty low key this year. We stayed at home and alot of people came to see us. Andrew got the Bumblebee blaster and helmet from Santa he wanted so badly and Megan got a new chair for her to sit in while she watches t.v. and a new baby doll. We all got our favorite present from Jeremy's parents. It was season passes to Lagoon. I had to work Christmas night so Jeremy just hung out with the kids at home. I also had to work New Year's Eve so once again Jeremy was Mr. Mom and stayed home with the kids and celebrated with them. By celebrating I mean he put the kids to bed at 10:oo p.m. and stayed up long enough after midnight to text me "Happy New Year. Love you!" and then went to bed himself. So as you can clearly see the holidays were pretty low key and uneventful, but that is just the way I like them.

2009 recap

So I pretty much sucked in 2009 in keeping my blog up, but I must say I am really going to try harder from now on. Even though 2010 is part over I will fill you in on what has been going on and start fresh from today. Well 2009 is over and I can honestly say that is was a great year. Lots of ups and downs, but hey isn't that what life is made of. We are all still healthy, Jeremy and I both have great jobs, we have a nice home to live in, cars that are paid for, kids that love us unconditionally, and lots of family and friends that love us and cherish us. Hey, what more could I ask for. I truly am very blessed.

My Mom

Now I want to also thank my mom for all that she does for my family. She takes my kids at least one Saturday a month so I can work. She is always making sure we have enough groceries and that we are doing okay. Mom I love you so much and want you to know I appreciate all that you & Dad do for us. Thanks!!!

My Dad

Well I also figured I would take some time to talk about my Dad. I didn't have my blog for fathers day so I missed out. It seems that ever since he beat cancer that he has a whole new outlook on life. (who wouldn't) He and my mom bought a condo in St.George and he bought the Harley he has always wanted. I am so happy that he is still around and will be around for tons of years to come. I love you dad. Enjoy the new outlook on life.
